Sports Cabinet Secretary Salim Mvurya and Homa Bay Governor Gladys Wanga have defended the government development track record and urged the opposition to stop criticizing the government for the sake of it.

They said the broad based government was on course to delivering on all pledges citing the completion of Raila Odinga Stadium in Homa Bay town.

The two made the remarks on Thursday after touring the stadium accompanied by Interior Principal Secretary Raymond Omollo, Government Spokesman Isaac Mwaura and Homa Bay Town MP Peter Kaluma.

They noted that the stadium had been expanded and can now accommodate over 12,000 seats.
