Nandi Senator Samson Cherargei wants the former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua's newly formed Democracy for Citizens Party (DCP) deregistered.
Cherargei yesterday claimed that the new formation was a mere regional outfit which doesn't meet the threshold of a national party, and should be delisted by the Registrar of Political Parties. "Under the Political Parties Act, a political party should have at least 24 functional offices across the nation before registration.
We are telling the registrar of political parties to be very keen.
Where are DCP offices across the country?" said Cherargei.
