The Kiambu County is constructing about 200 business stalls at the newly completed Bus Park, in a bid to boost business in the County.
The 4,750 square meter Bus Park project began in June 2023 and was completed in May 2024 but is yet to be launched due to the incomplete business stalls built around the commuter stage.
The Bus Park aims to serve about 30 matatu Sacco's in the area; it is a major central hub for the region's transport business, and its launch is anticipated to improve connectivity for travellers.
According to Kiambu town Member of the County Assembly (MCA), Francis Koina, "The County government aims to construct 150 to 200 stalls; approximately 23 stalls have been completed, and the government hopes to complete the construction of the remaining stalls before the end of the year." said Koina He added that the development is expected to create significant marketing and job opportunities for the people of Kiambu County, enhancing local commerce and supporting economic growth in the region.
