Property of unknown value was destroyed on Sunday night following a fire outbreak at Amabuko Secondary School in Kisii County.
The incident, which occurred at around 8pm in Nyaribari Masaba Constituency, left a total of 22 students with minor injuries. Witnesses reported scenes of panic, with students running and crying for help as the fire engulfed a dormitory within the school.
Ichuni Ward Member of County Assembly Wycliffe Siocha, who responded to the distress call, confirmed that the injured students were rushed to Keroka General Hospital.
