A lorry suspected of transporting illicit second-generation alcohol was intercepted on Sunday evening at the Ilmashariani roadblock, Narok Central authorities have confirmed.

According to Narok Central Assistant County Commissioner (ACC) Ali Shakur, officers from the County Government of Narok's Enforcement Unit alerted the police after stopping the vehicle, a lorry bearing registration number KCU 082U.

Officers from Narok Police Station later towed the vehicle to the station, where it was jointly inspected by the ACC, the Officer Commanding Station (OCS), and other law enforcement personnel. "It was established during the inspection that the lorry was ferrying suspected second-generation liquor, branded as 'Space Vodka', in an unknown quantity.

The delivery documents presented by the driver falsely indicated that the cargo was pishori rice," said ACC Ali Shakur.
