President William Ruto's administration has dismissed former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua's allegations, in which he claimed there was a plot to poison him with chemical weapons.
Government Spokesperson Isaac Mwaura, during an interview on TV47, refuted the claims, terming Gachagua's remarks as "smear allegations" that were "highly inciteful" and aimed at evoking the emotions of Kenyans.
Mwaura went on to accuse the former DP of attempting to popularise his newly launched political party by allegedly inciting Kenyans against the current administration.
According to him, the government was in no way interested in taking away Gachagua's life, adding that Ruto's administration was committed to protecting every Kenyan, regardless of their political position or role in society.
