Soy Member of Parliament David Kiplagat has raised concerns for his safety, claiming he has received death threats less than a month after the killing of Kasipul MP Charles Ong'ondo, who had also reported threats to his life.
The MP revealed that he received papers which were circulated widely within his constituency, warning him against leaving his compound.
His constituents staged demonstrations that lasted six hours, demanding that the police provide the lawmaker with protection to guarantee his safety.
The residents also called for the immediate apprehension of those suspected of issuing the threats against the MP's life.
