Nyandarua Senator John Methu has demanded President William Ruto resign over the rise in abductions in what is quickly becoming sinking sand for the Head of State.
The Senator joins the opposition that has also demanded the president resign.
In a strongly worded statement shared with Kenyans.co.ke, the senator allied to the former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has become the first to break ranks against Ruto. "President Ruto has lost the moral authority and character, has shaken our very Christian foundations, has lost the presidential stature and allure, and has also failed the leadership and integrity test for his continuous breach of our constitution and must therefore immediately resign from office," Ruto stated.
Methu is a member of President Ruto's United Democratic Alliance (UDA), which has begun to show signs of cracks since the ouster of Gachagua in October last year.
