President William Ruto-led United Democratic Alliance (UDA) has merged forces with Musalia Mudavadi's Amani National Congress (ANC) party.
The new formation announced at a press briefing at State House by UDA Chairperson, Governor Cecily Mbarire, will be called the United Democratic Alliance Party. The United Democratic Alliance Party will be rebranded to include ANC's colours and logos.
The merger announced on Friday, January 17, comes after months of talks.
The merger is expected to expand the ruling party that has a coalition agreement within Kenya Kwanza.
