The County Government of Bomet and the Kenya Tea Development Agency (KTDA) are mourning the death of Erick Chepkwony, who served as the county's Chief Officer for Finance, ICT, and Economic Planning, and KTDA's National Vice Chair.
Taking to an official statement, Bomet Governor Hillary Barchok confirmed Chepkwony's death, describing it as a shock to the county, as the official appeared well and strong just the previous day.
According to Barchock, Chepkwony was joyful, strong, and full of strength before the shocking news of his demise. ''My heart goes out to his family, the people of Bomet, and the KTDA fraternity, where he served as National Vice Chair.
This devastating loss feels even more profound as we remember how full of life he was just yesterday," the statement read in part.
