Mara Sugar FC, also known as the Sugar Millers, have advanced to the quarterfinals of the Mozzart Bet Cup after a commanding 2-0 win over FKF Division One side Compel FC in a rescheduled Round of 16 encounter played at the Moi Stadium in Kisumu County.
The match, initially postponed due to an appeal filed by AFC Leopards contesting Mara's qualification in the previous knockout round, proceeded after the appeal was dismissed by the Football Kenya Federation.
Mara took full advantage of the opportunity, putting on a dominant performance to secure their place in the last eight.
The win was a morale booster for the Sugar Millers, who are also battling to retain their FKF Premier League status.
