Just a day after announcing plans to support Turkana Rural Water Company (TURWASCO) in adopting a digital billing system, the USAID-funded Sustainable Transformational and Accessible Water Intervention (STAWI) programme has commenced a training session for the company's leadership and technical staff.

The training, facilitated in partnership with Rural Water Management Solutions Kenya, aims to equip TURWASCO personnel with the necessary skills to manage digital revenue collection systems effectively.

The initiative is expected to streamline billing, minimise revenue losses, and enhance service delivery across the county.

Gracing the event was the County Executive for Water Services, Patrick Losike Lokaimoe, who emphasized the county government's commitment to strengthening water service provision through technology. "This training marks a major milestone in ensuring accountability and efficiency in water service delivery.
