Hundreds of residents residing in Kenya Commercial Bank piece of land in Athi River fear being evicted in case they fail to pay promptly for plots they occupy.
The residents have been residing in the land previously owned by East Africa Portland Company (EAPC) before it changed to KCB to settle a loan.
Last year,KCB begun the land sale under regularization program giving the first priority the occupants including squatters.
Each plot owner was required to pay Sh 200,000 for registration and follow other set procedures awaiting to be issued with an offer price.
