Baringo Governor Benjamin Cheboi has announced that the county is ready to host the 36th edition of the Rhino Charge, which is a global conservation event.
Cheboi made the remarks after conducting public barazas at Loruk and Kosile in Saimo Soi Ward, Baringo North on Friday where he called on residents, stakeholders and partners to actively participate in the sporting competition which will kick off at Koroto area from 31st of this month and culminate to an award ceremony on June 1st.
The County boss highlighted the importance of the event which is expected to draw international participants, global media and conservation champions from across the world.
He said that apart from showcasing the county's unique sceneries, the competition will give to support of local institutions and other basic needs in the area which is coming to life after insecurity challenges. "I want to assure the visitors that the community have expressed the enthusiasm to welcome them.
