The Kenya Metrological Department on Friday, January 17, urged Kenyans living in different parts of the country to brace for moderate rainfall over the next five days, from Saturday, January 18 to Wednesday, January 22.

In its five-day weather forecast, Kenya Met listed Nairobi, Mombasa, Kisumu, the Highlands East region, the West of the Rift Valley, the South Rift Valley, and the South-eastern lowlands (areas bordering Tanzania) regions to prepare for occasional rainfall over the weekend.

The weather department, in its advisory, urged the residents living in the above-mentioned areas to prepare for moderate rainfall that would fall in the afternoon.  Counties expected to receive rainfall during the weekend include Siaya, Kisumu, Homabay, Migori, Kisii, Nyamira, and Trans Nzoia.
