Vihiga County Boda Boda Sacco Society on Saturday unveiled an ambitious five-year strategic plan that will see the Sacco roll out a digital platform, adopt e-mobility solutions, and develop a recently acquired three-acre parcel of land.
The 1800 members Sacco are seeking to professionalize the sector and increase daily revenue for its members through the adoption of cheap and reliable electric motorcycles.
MSMEs Cabinet Secretary Wycliffe Ambetsa Oparanya, who presided over the event, challenged players in the bodaboda sector to professionalize their operations and adopt new cost-cutting operation methods to create confidence amongst its members as well as boost revenue. "This Sacco must begin thinking long-term.
Today's contributions should be the foundation for self-reliance and growth," Oparanya said.
