Pressure continues to mount over the circumstances surrounding the alleged abduction of Juja MP George Koimburi after detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) on Tuesday nabbed a key ally of the lawmaker believed to have masterminded the incident.
The ally was apprehended following reports that his Subaru vehicle was allegedly used in the MP's reported abduction on Sunday while he attended a church event.
Police Spokesperson Michael Muchiri confirmed the developments, noting that investigations are ongoing to verify the MP's and his allies' claims regarding the ordeal.
Separately, police also investigated a farm in Ruiru, Kiambu County, owned by businessman and politician Jimmy Wanjigi, following allegations that it was where Koimburi had been dumped after his disappearance.
