The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) now wants Kanyenyaini Ward MCA Grace Nduta, Juja CDF Chairman Peter Kiratu, and two others detained in custody for 15 days pending probe into connection with the alleged staged abduction of MP George Koimburi In a sworn affidavit presented before the Milimani Law Courts, Chief Inspector Nicholas Njoroge of the DCI Headquarters Operations Support Unit, alleged that MCA Nduta, Kiratu, alongside David Macharia Gatana and Cyrus Kieru Muhia, orchestrated the kidnapping of the MP "with the intent to murder," and misled police by providing false information about the incident. "The respondents were arrested on May 28, 2025, and are being held at Capitol Hill, Industrial Area, and Muthaiga Police Stations in connection with kidnapping in order to murder, creating a disturbance, and giving false information to a public officer," the affidavit states.

Inspector Njoroge has urged the Magistrate Caroline Nyanguthii Mugo to allow them to continue holding the suspects to remain in custody while investigations are finalized.

The case was first reported by Kiratu on May 25 at Mugutha Police Station.
