Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) has advised visitors to Amboseli National Park to use an alternative route due to heavy traffic on the Nairobi-Mombasa Highway.
The traffic jam was caused by a serious accident that happened on May 30, near the Jet Inn area, between Emali and Masimba.
In a statement released on Friday, May 30, KWS asked tourists to avoid delays by using the Meshanani Gate via the Kitengela-Namanga Road instead. "To all our esteemed visitors heading to Amboseli National Park, please note that due to traffic congestion along the Nairobi-Mombasa Highway, we recommend using the Meshanani Gate via Kitengela-Namanga Road as an alternative access route," KWS said.
Iremito gate at the Amboseli National Park KWS "Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we strive to ensure you have a smooth and memorable safari experience," the statement reads.
