The court has released Kanyenyaini Ward MCA Grace Nduta, Juja CDF Chairman Peter Kiratu, and two others on a bond of Sh1 million or a cash bail of Sh300,000 each, pending investigations into their alleged involvement in the staged abduction of MP George Koimburi.

Magistrate Caroline Nyaguthii Mugo ruled that the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) had not presented compelling reasons to justify detaining the suspects.

The magistrate also barred the four either by themselves, through proxies or agents from contacting key witnesses, including MP Koimburi, until the ongoing investigations are concluded.

Additionally, the accused have been ordered to report to DCI detectives once a week.
