Narok Governor Patrick Ole Ntutu, alongside County Commissioner Kipkech Lotiatia, led the 62nd Madaraka Day celebrations held at Maasaantare Comprehensive School in Ololulung'a Ward, Narok South Sub-County.
The event was marked with pomp and colour, drawing hundreds of residents from across the region.
The celebrations featured vibrant performances of traditional Maasai music and dance, showcasing the community's rich cultural heritage.
In his address, Governor Ole Ntutu thanked the residents for turning out in large numbers to commemorate the day Kenya attained internal self-rule in 1963.
