The Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) has announced plans to close a section of the Southern bypass in Nairobi this coming weekend.

In a notice on Monday, June 2, the authority announced the traffic disruption would affect a section of the highway near the entrance of the China Road and Bridge Corporation (CRBC) camp, directly opposite the Nairobi National Park.

According to KeNHA, the disruption would last for eight hours, between Saturday, June 7 at 10 pm and Sunday, June 8 at 8 am.

The authority further revealed that the disruption was to facilitate the installation of stress-strain sensors on the road surface.
