According to the Kenya Meteorological Department, rainfall is expected to continue in most parts of the country in the next five days.
In its weekly forecast, which it released on Monday, June 2, the weatherman predicted that Highlands East and West of the Rift Valley, the Lake Victoria Basin, the Central Rift Valley, and the Coast will receive rain between Tuesday, June 3, and Saturday, June 3.
It is predicted that during this period, Nyandarua, Laikipia, Nyeri, Kirinyaga, Murang'a, Kiambu, Meru, Embu, Tharaka, and Nairobi Counties will experience cloudy weather breaking into sunny intervals in the morning for most of the week, except on Tuesday, when there might be chances of rain in a few places.
In the afternoon and nights, residents in these counties are expected to have showers in a few places, except for Saturday night when it is expected to be partly cloudy.
