Kakamega County Woman Representative Elsie Muhanda has lauded the role of the church in fostering peace, unity and social cohesion in Shinyalu Constituency.
Speaking during a community event attended by local clergy, youth groups, and residents, Muhanda praised the church for going beyond its spiritual mandate to address real-life challenges affecting families and communities. "The church remains a strong foundation for peace and unity in our society.
It is where our people turn for guidance, comfort, and direction," she said.
She further commended the clergy and congregations across Shinyalu for being active participants in promoting togetherness and encouraging hard work.
