Education Cabinet Secretary Julius Ogamba has reiterated the government's commitment to the growth and development of the Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) sector in order to fulfil its flagship projects.

Speaking during the inaugural graduation ceremony at Riragia Technical and Vocational College (TVC) in Marani Sub County on Tuesday, CS Ogamba said TVET is the bridge between knowledge and productivity that will unlock the youth's potential in Kenya to industrialise the economy. "TVET is the engine behind the realisation of Kenya's two boldest visions, Vision 2030 and the Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA)," noted the CS.

He urged Kenyans to embrace TVET in order to acquire skilled manpower to participate in the industrialisation of Kenya and attain the status of an industrial nation.

Ogamba pointed out the importance of the TVET sector in building a workforce that is not only skilled but also adaptable, innovative, and prepared to meet the demands of both the current and the future industries.
