The County government of Nakuru is in the process of increasing the numbers of health workers to help deliver services, most importantly in the maternity units.
This was confirmed by the county's Chief Officer for Public Health, Joyce Ncece, who noted that currently, there is an ongoing recruitment process and once complete, the health workers will be deployed to the various health facilities to render the required services.
Ncece further said that there is a special focus on maternity units and Marioshoni is among the identified health centres that are to benefit from receiving the health workers.
This comes after the residents of Marioshoni asked the County government to speed up the process and allow them to enjoy maternity services at the health facility.
