The High Court in Nanyuki has sentenced a woman to 40 years in jail for murdering her ex-lover, bringing an end to a winding, seven-year case.
Through a statement released by the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP) on Friday, June 6, the court found the woman guilty of an offence she committed on December 4, 2018.
As per the chief prosecutor, the court heard that on the night of the incident, the accused, accompanied by two accomplices, unlawfully entered the deceased's residence, where they murdered him.
The deceased, who was her former lover and a businessman in Nanyuki, was also robbed of personal effects, household items, and his motor vehicle.
