A multi-agency inspection team has declared the Kalobeyei Modern Garage ready for launch, paving the way for its official handover to the Turkana County Government.
This approval follows a high-level meeting convened by Turkana Deputy Governor Dr.
John Erus, bringing together key implementing partners to address issues that had delayed the operationalization of the facility. "After carefully reviewing the inspection checklist and consulting all stakeholders involved in the implementation, we have confirmed that the garage is fully equipped with the necessary machinery and adheres to required safety protocols.
The infrastructure is, therefore, ready for use," said Helen Nakaru, the inspection team lead and Deputy Director for Revenue.
