Elgeyo Marakwet women representative Carolyne Ngelechei has called on the youth to learn how to invest for their future and stop waiting to get rich through betting.
Saying there was no shortcut to riches, the women's rep regretted that youth, especially male were spending their money betting in the hope that they will get rich overnight after winning millions, which sadly does not happen.
Speaking in BIretwo Keiyo South Sub County when she launched the sinking of a borehole, Mrs.
Ng'elechei called on the youth to think of the much money they spend betting and how many of them have gotten anything from the exercise. "Just think of the money you spend on betting and ask yourself how much of the amount has been won by any of the youth in the county," she said.
