The Inspector General of Police, Douglas Kanja, has announced the establishment of three new police stations.
The police stations, which will be located in two subcounties in Nairobi and Turkana, were announced in a notice on the June 5 issue of the Kenya Gazette. "In exercise of the powers conferred by section 40(1) of the National Police Service Act, the Inspector-General designates establishments, particulars of which are set out in the Schedule hereto, to be Police Stations or Posts for the purposes of this Act," the notice read.
In Nairobi County, a police station known as the Utalii Police Station has been established in the Ruaraka sub-county.
