The Kenya Meteorological Department has urged Kenyans to brace for continued rains that are likely to hit most parts of the country this week.

In a statement on Monday, June 9, the weatherman said that counties in the Highlands East and West of the Rift Valley, the Lake Victoria Basin, the Rift Valley, and the Coast will receive rains between Tuesday, June 10, and Saturday, June 14.

Nyandarua, Laikipia, Nyeri, Kirinyaga, Murang'a, Kiambu, Meru, Embu, Tharaka, and Nairobi counties will experience cloudy skies breaking into sunny intervals throughout the week in the morning, and sunny intervals on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday afternoons.

It is, however, likely to shower over a few places on Tuesday and Saturday afternoon.
