The family of the late Albert Ojwang' has lauded President William Ruto for personally reaching out to console them and donate money to them following the blogger's mysterious death in police custody.

Family spokesperson Harman Opiyo said the President acted responsibly, as a father of the nation, by calling Meshack Ojwang', the father of the deceased, and offering his condolences. "President Ruto saw it necessary to comfort us, and as a family, we appreciate this gesture.

It is his responsibility as a national leader to show concern," Opiyo said.

The President also donated Sh2 million to support the grieving family.
