Mombasa Road commuters heading towards Nairobi will experience a temporary traffic disruption this coming weekend, lasting 16 hours over several days.  In a notice on Wednesday, the Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) announced that the disruption will happen near Syokimau Railway Station along the Nairobi-bound carriageway.

The disruption will happen between Friday, June 20, at 10pm and Saturday, June 21, at 6am, as well as from Saturday, June 21, at 10pm to Sunday, June 22, at 6am. "The Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) wishes to notify the public that a section of Mombasa Road (A8) near Syokimau Railway Station will experience traffic disruption along the Nairobi-bound carriageway from Friday, 20th June, 2025 at 10.00pm to Saturday, 21st June, 2025 at 6.00am, and from Saturday, 21 June, 2025 at 10.00pm to Sunday, 22nd June, 2025 at 6.00am," the statement read.
