The family of face mask vendor Boniface Kariuki, who was shot by a police officer during protests in Nairobi, is urgently calling for the prosecution of Masinde Baraza, the officer caught shooting Kariuki.
Speaking from Murang'a, Kariuki's mother referred to her son as the family's rock and urged the government to enact strict policies to stop police brutality.
Kariuki's mother, along with other family members, said that her son was modest and diligent, and that she learnt of his shooting via social media.
