Teremi Boys High School in Bungoma County has been crowned the new Bungoma County Secondary School Sports Association (BCSSSA) football champions after edging out Kibabii School 1-0 in a thrilling final match held at the Bungoma High School grounds.
The decisive goal came in the second half from a penalty, confidently converted by Teremi Boys defender Ronny Njoroge, alias Samba Boys.
These fierce rivals were previously pooled in group A as Teremi still edged Kibabii 1-0 topping the group while Kibabii proceeded as position two.
The new champions played against the Kimobo boys in the quarter-finals, beating them 3-1, before meeting with the Kabula boys in the semi-finals, a game that was decided in the penalty shootout in favor of Teremi.
