Vihiga Senator Godfrey Osotsi on Tuesday pleaded with his constituents to accord President William Ruto a warm welcome during his scheduled visit to the county on Wednesday, January 22, to launch the construction of a market project.
In a letter dated January 21, the ODM-elected Senator stated that he would not attend Ruto's visit to his county as he was not in the country, instead urging locals to welcome the president with both hands. "I want to urge our people to accord the President a warm reception to our great county," he pleaded noting that the project would be beneficial to the community.
Osotsi also explained that he was informed of the President's visit while he was away in Europe, noting that it was impossible for him to attend on short notice.
