The demonstrations are part of ongoing protests in which Kenyans are raising issues such as police brutality, economic hardship and social injustice, and commemorating those who died during the 2024 anti-Finance Bill protests.
According to a video seen by Kenyans.co.ke, the protesters blocked the road using large stones and burning tyres.
As tensions escalated, businesses in the town were forced to close due to safety concerns.
