A total of 25,924 applicants in Turkana County had applied for Climateworx slots against the allocated 1,028 slots.

Modeled along the kazi mtaani program, the program will see supervisors take home Sh580 for each day they worked and Sh500 for the other junior workers to be engaged in menial jobs.

Speaking during a county implementation committee meeting on the Climateworx program, County Commissioner Julius Kavita who is also the chairperson of the committee said the county has been allocated 35 supervisor slots.

In the meeting to deliberate on the recruitment and selection process for the Climateworx Program, Kavita emphasized the Committee's role in ensuring a fair and transparent selection process.
