Uasin Gishu County administration has taken a significant step as part of its strategic initiatives aimed at addressing emerging needs, streamline operations, and enhancing services.

As part of this initiative, the Fire and Rescue Section, previously under the Department of Roads, Transport, and Public Works has now been elevated to a full directorate, allowing for more dedicated focus on its operations.

Chief Officer for Roads, Geoffrey Tanui, presided over a ceremony to welcome Cosmas Kerich, the newly appointed Director of the Fire and Rescue Directorate.

Kerich previously served as Director of Enforcement, a role now filled by Moses Kangogo.
