The Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) has announced a temporary traffic disruption at the Gitaru Interchange, which connects Waiyaki Way with the Southern and Western Bypasses.

KeNHA Director General Kung'u Ndung'u on Friday evening said the disruption was due to the closure of the Southwestern Loop to Southern Bypass at the intersection of Waiyaki Way and Western Bypass.

He added that the closure of the loop was to allow for scheduled roadworks for the reconstruction of the South-Western Interchange Ramp and slip roads.

The KeNHA boss, in his announcement, said the section of the highway would be closed for 45 days from June 28, 2025, to August 11, this year.
