The appointment of former Bungoma Governor Wycliffe Wangamati as the Chairperson of the Public Service Superannuation Fund Board of Trustees has been revoked by the National Treasury Cabinet Secretary John Mbadi.
In an official Gazette notice, CS Mbadi revealed that the former Governor ceased to be the chair effective June 27. ''In exercise of the powers conferred by section 10 (1) (a) of the Public Service Superannuation Scheme Act, as read together with section 51 (1) of the Interpretation and General Provisions Act, the Cabinet Secretary for National Treasury and Economic Planning *revokes the appointment of Wycliffe Wafula Wangamati,'' the notice reads in part.
The former governor had been appointed to chair the Board of Trustees on June 8, 2024.
