At least 300 residents of Jina sub location in Gem constituency received a donation of reading glasses from a German top tier football club, Borussia Dortmund.
The donation from the Bundesliga club were offered at no cost during a medical outreach programme organized by the Geno Community Development Initiative (GCDI) and Marenyo health centre at St.
Zakaria Catholic Church, Jina sub parish.
Speaking during the event, GCDI Chief Executive Officer, Enos Odera, said the medical check-up and outreach mission was part of the organisation's efforts to provide quality health care services to the less privileged residents.
