Ekuru Aukot has faulted President William Ruto for remaining silent as his cabinet makes inflammatory remarks.

Aukot took particular issue with a recent statement by Transport CS Kipchumba Murkomen, who told police officers that shoot-to-kill orders had been sanctioned by higher authority following the nationwide June 25 protests.

The remarks, according to Aukot, point directly to the president's complicity. "The CS is the face of this government, someone who is supposed to protect us.
