Small business owners from Kiambu County received a major boost today as the Department of Trade and Investments actively took part in a high-impact business clinic during the 2nd  Annual Small and Medium-sized Enterprise (SME) Conference, Exhibition, and Awards hosted by the Kenya Private Sector Alliance (KEPSA).

The event, which brought together entrepreneurs, policy-makers, and business leaders, offered a golden opportunity for Kiambu-based SMEs, to receive expert advice and connect with networks that could drive their growth.

The business clinic was graced by Cabinet Secretary for Cooperatives and MSMEs Wycliffe Ambetsa Oparanya, who praised the efforts made by counties like Kiambu in supporting small enterprises. "Our focus is to ensure that entrepreneurs, especially at the county level, are supported with easier access to licenses, affordable financing, and useful training.

Over 30,000 MSMEs across the country have already been brought on board this year through digital registration," said CS Oparanya.
