Court proceedings were briefly halted on Tuesday, July 1, after an irate man openly called out the lawyers representing the Inspector General of Police, Douglas Kanja and the Director of the Directorate of Criminal Investigations, Amin Mohammed, in a passionate rant.
Kanja was expected to present himself at the Milimani Law Courts on Monday, after orders were issued to either produce missing lawyer and blogger Ndiang'ui Kinyagia in court or provide a valid explanation for his disappearance.
However, the IG failed to show up for the hearing and was instead represented by his lawyer, who tried to explain the reasons behind his absence.
This did not augur well with one attendee of the hearing, who interrupted proceedings by going on a passionate rant, calling out the IG and the State at large for allegedly furthering the issue of abductions.
