Slain teacher and social media influencer Albert Ojwang was preparing to vie for the Kokwanyo Ward Member of County Assembly (MCA) seat in the upcoming 2027 general election, his uncle has revealed.
Speaking during Ojwang's burial on Friday at his family home in Kakoth Village, in Kokwanyo, Homa Bay County, the uncle disclosed that Ojwang was focused and optimistic of clinching the seat, even if not at his first attempt.
In the emotional revelation, the uncle said that the 31-year-old teacher always loved his family and occasionally visited him.
It was during one of these visits that the deceased informed him about his political ambitions.
