Siaya Community Digital Hub has launched an initiative to donate computers to schools in the region, aimed at exposing students to digital skills at a tender age.

Speaking at Bondo Township Primary School, where he presided over the donation of computers, the founder of Siaya Community Digital Hub, Dr Oburu Oginga, said the initiative will help impart computer knowledge to students at an early stage. "The world is going digital, and we would like our students to embrace technology and artificial intelligence when they are still in primary and secondary schools so that when they go to university, they don't suffer culture shock," Oburu said.

He revealed that although the first batch of 40 computers would benefit Bondo Township primary school and Jaramogi, Akoko and Gobei secondary schools in Bondo sub-county, other schools in the county have also been earmarked to benefit from the programme.
