Police in the United Kingdom have commenced investigations into the death of Irene Wanjiru, 48, who lost her life during a caregiving shift.
Wanjiru was found dead in a patient's home in Birmingham on June 23, just days after reuniting with her children in the UK.
The single mother of four, born in Mataara, Gatundu North in Kiambu County, spent her life looking for a better future for her children.
A quest that led her to the UK in 2023, where she landed a caregiving job.
