A fire has broken out at the Embakasi Girls High School in Nairobi.

Reporting the news on Sunday, July 6, the Kenya Red Cross revealed that efforts were ongoing to contain the fire, stating, "Fire at Embakasi Girls' School, Nairobi County.

Efforts to contain it are underway." Although the extent of the fire is yet to be reported, images shared online showed a billowing cloud of smoke emanating from the school compound.
