Westlands Member of Parliament Tim Wanyonyi has clarified that he intends to run for the Bungoma gubernatorial seat in the upcoming 2027 General Election, rather than the Nairobi race, with which he has been heavily associated since the 2022 election.
Speaking during an interview with Radio 47 on Monday, July 7, the lawmaker asserted that serving people from his home county would be the perfect way to hang up his boots in the political arena. "As Tim Wanyonyi, I'm ready to go and serve the people of Bungoma now.
The stance is that in the next general elections, I will be vying for the Bungoma Gubernatorial seat," Wanyonyi said.
Wanyonyi seems to have made the decision not to run for Nairobi's governorship.
